Some are valuable, some not.
The auctions results on ebay can give you a clue for some titles.

i'd say 2nd-hand VGP silver discs worth ~ $20US per cd....
some titles maybe be worth a bit more...

Many VGP titles are still available & can be bought for $45 for a double & $35 for a single disc release. That's the lowest price I've ever come across. However, the titles that are sold out can actually fetch as much as $200-300 each. These titles are sold-out for a good reason, ie: they were very good! :-). This applies to some of the later issue numbers too, not just the early ones.
So- my advice would be: Sit tight for now, do some homework & don't let anybody (here, or elsewhere) try to snatch what they may consider a 'bargain' from you.
