Yeah, I was in Japan last November and what I loved the most about all the shops that carried boots was that they always had sale/used sections with prices marked way down. Didn't see an original copy of Mannheim but then I wasn't looking for it-bought one off someone on this board 4 or 5 years ago for $100. $500 seems absolutely absurd, but that's just my two cents.

Got two copies. Like Mathijs wrote, it doesn't come cheap. Beware of fakes.

yes but iam not paying $500 or anything near and kees said he can get me a copy so thanks anyway unless you can match kees price. and in japan where kees got his copy i can be sure it wont be fake

I've had this 2 cd yellow gatefold silver set # 249 for several years. I bought it at a record show for about 15 US dollars. It's an average audience recording, but does include a decent version of the rare 100 Years Ago.
Can some one tell me what else is so special or rare about this item and why it is so expensive to purchase now.

Because it's a Outsider Bird release....ALL of their releases are of great collectors value. But there are other records of theirs (especially vinyls) which are much more sought after than "Mannheim On Ice".
I only have Back To The Graveyeard and Toronto, myself (on CD). Wish I'd get my hands on their vinyls one day....beautiful items; but heavily overpriced among the sellers/collectors

Actually, just these days in Japan they are re-issuing OBR cds as cdrs. Remember the originasl OBR were from Germany, so it is right in Japan that more likely you will find fake ones.

yeah but they have matrix numbers and they are numbered copies, very easy to spot a fake, the new issues are not numbered copies and are cdrs, cmon man

Speaking of this show. Can anybody share a straight, flawless copy of this OBR release? All digital copies I have heard so far seem to be re-edits that have some minor digital flaws. This particular source offers some opportunity for major improvement.

I could try,,my computer broke down few weeks ago,so did my car,and my health
Thats why i´ve been offline,,i had no money to buy a new one now,,and this is what i bought is slow sometimes(old XP),But yes i will try this how it works uploading stuff..downloading works ok.I will try tonight.
