Even though he goes out of tune a lot I love this performance. Great Rock and Roll.

Songs that are so weird, but I love'em anyway (maybe because they're so weird)!

Short clip from the Jacksons concert I attended last month in Detroit. It's got crappy sound 'cause it was so freakin' LOUD in that little room, but a really good show. Great setlist, too, with lots of Michael's solo stuff.

Someone posted the wrong Adam Ant video link!

This performance, lipsynched of course, on Top Of The Pops was one of the most sentational performances ever on that sadly missed show...

He pretty much took over the entire studio with his sub-stages.

As a POP performance, it would be hard to beat.

But, the best one that may appeal more to regular people here, is this performance on Shindig! by Howlin' Wolf. I simply love the way that Brian Jones is pretty much jumping up and down with excitement that they have got The Wolf as a guest.

Strange, but true, the dude at the piano at the very start of the clip is actually Billy Preston.

And, yes, I do live in a world where it's possible to enjoy Adam Ant, Howlin' Wolf and The Rolling Stones.

I remember that Howlin' Wolf clip being on TV in '65 and Brian so eager to cut the mundane chat and watch one of his idols.

I also live in the same world that includes Abba and Kylie Minogue. winking smiley

Since Tommy's not in this video thought I'd post it here. Check out who introduces the video. Muy cool.

Iggy performing on Madonna's behalf at her Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony. I somehow find his versions easier to dance to.

That's great, colonial! Mick, Keith, and Ronnie were strutting and waving their way across the bridge like cats, but Charlie...I had to laugh a little at him tenatively holding onto the rail, "Whooa, I'm really high up and this thing is shaky." That would be me, I hate heights.

Here's todays video Latebloomer (I actually like it a bit better than "Tacky")

A spoof on "Blurred Lines" it would be good for some of the posters here to watch and learn a bit from this video. Note to the non-english speekers: I'm not implying that YOU should learn something from this. Y'all's efforts at a second, third or fourth language are fantastic... I'm sending this out to some of my fellow English speekers (including myself sometimes!)

Peace,
Mr DJA

That was great, thanks! I teach English to 10 year olds, I wish I could show this to them, but I'm guessing it would mostly go over their heads.

But, I'm not a word snob...I actually love how English is constantly changing, adding new words all the time. I'm taking a linguistics class right now, which is kinda killing me, but it is really interesting. For instance and in defense of non-native English speakers like the French...they have no "th" sound in French, it's not part of their sound system. That's why so many Frenchies pronounce this and that like it's spelled zis and zat. Okay, that's the lesson for the day...tomorrow, I'll talk about why native English speakers can't pronounce menage a trois. grinning smiley

Maybe we could have a thread with funny clips from the internet to liven us
up a bit before the Down Under tour this autumn?
Post anything but music videos here. I hope BV will allow this thread without
lumping it together with some other thread.
Here is a starter. I wish I could park my car like this kid:

This doesn't qualify as a clip, but it is about the Rolling Stones. It's an amusing Q & A from the new humor "advice" book titled The Very Minute Manager whose every chapter ends with an irreverent Q & A section:

Q. What’s with those Rolling Stones?

A. They can’t seem to make up their minds. One of their songs says, “Time Waits for No One,” and then another says, “Time Is On My Side.” Which is it? Is time on their side, or does it wait for no one? They cancel each other out. It’s like saying, “I really like lollipops, but I don’t like lollipops.” And then the Stones also did a song titled “Out of Time,” which gives a bit more weight to the “Not much time on our side” side of the argument. Boy, such indecision, you Rolling Stones! I guess we’ll have to leave it to pop scholars to make the definitive decision.

well of course that points to another one, after complaining that "I can't get no satisfaction", to be reminded that "you can't always get what you want".
