Marianne Faithfull. Easy come, easy go
Posted by: JordiStones ()

I just have received Marianne Faithfull new album, double vinyl, Easy come, easy go.
Nice title, nice pics and full of nice song covers of classics. There are a lot of good musicians collaborating in this album, one of them is... Keith.
Just only listen a couple of song and I love it!

Keith only sing and plays in one song, the last one "Sing Me Back Home" (Merle Haggard).
I don't know where the sessions took place but it was recorded in different studios.

Thanks for posting the link JordiStones.

<<I don't know where the sessions took place but it was recorded in different studios.>>

According to the link, it's been recorded at Sear Sound Studio in NYC with Marianne's new band, but that's not entirely correct, then?

Really looking forward to her version of "Down From Dover";

dare I say it, I like Sally Timms' recording even more than Dolly's!

Is this the Lee Hazelwood "Down from Dover"?

dunno if Lee Hazelwood has done it before, but it is a Dolly Parton song.

btw the vinyl looks great. I bought the 18 tracks album with DVD.
I have written a small review on my blog pstroosnijder.blogspot.com , which I have posted on another thread here.
One of the most interesting albums of this year. Great stuff.

Hail to La Faithfull!!!

Glam Descendant, how about contacting her record company?
http://www.easycomeeasygothealbum.com/english/music.html.

It annoys me that some members on this board are interested in downloading the Keith track only. It is really such a fabulous album! It is really worth BUYING the entire album. Willner and Faithfull are a dreamteam.

>> It annoys me that some members on this board ... <<

well, but the other side of that coin is that people who might otherwise not be interested in the release
are going to buy it - that's a good thing! and whoever decided to make Sing Me Back Home unavailable on its own
apparently counted on exactly that kind of interest. anyway i've ordered mine - the 18-track version + DVD,
so thank you kindly for pointing that edition out, the juf

There are four sample tracks here to listen to:

including "Down From Dover" (but not, of course, "Sing Me Back Home" ). At the moment I can't afford to get an album on the strength on one Keith collaboration alone, but having heard the sample tracks I'm going to buy this one and enjoy the rest of it.

Naive made a deal with the french fan club Sympathy For The Devils - you can listen to the track on their site, here :

Enjoy! And buy the album!

Actually (nothing to do with the CD), but Marianne's official website is very good.
I suspect that in this instance the artist has been involved in its construction and maintenance, which makes a change.
