OT: I think Obama will still fall to the republican tide

they almost always find a way ...

oh, he's not experienced and he's not a vet -- capitalize on those "weaknesses", hammer away, hammer away, hammer away -- like the old fascist tactic: tell someone something enough times and they will believe it

most of all, i think a lot of americans would never vote for a black man when it comes down to the privacy of the voting booth

and he is only popular among some liberal "educated whites" and some peoples of color -- doesnt sound like enuf votes to me

if its close, and it is now, McCain will win

hell, he could be assassinated at any time -- some whacko types were caught in Denver high on meth with a buch of high powered rifles (hit a target at 750 yards) mumbling about a black man should never be in the white house, calling him a nigger, and one of them had the LAST NAME (read: stage name) of Adolf and was wearing a swastika ring.

I am going to try not to pay too much attention and keep my expectations very low as the successor to the lunatic bush admin looks to be headed to the white house. No use in getting upset or frustrated.

ok now delete the thread, mr. editor.

if you don't want obama, can we have him here in Britain???

if only americans knew how badly the rest of the world wants obama to take over
from bush, then it would be a landslide.

If only the rest of the world knew how badly some Americans (hey, white ones included) want Obama to take over.......

Here we go with all the false promises. If half the celebrities who said the same about Bush being elected would've left the USA it would be a much better place to live. Maybe they tried but no other country wanted them either! Coom by yah...coom by yah, the sixties are over flower children, sorry to break it to ya. The Kennedy's are gone, King's gone, your weed's gone time to face reality.

Saw a kid (13-16 yrs) in the streets a few days ago with this lovely T-shirt. "Keith Richards for president".
Think about it! It would make the world a better place. He loves kids, animals and great music. All for it!

Me the old cynic suggests that McCain only produced a female running mate coz Hilary is now out of the picture. The republicans only did it so that could get in again.

It's totally obvious to me that's exactly why he chose who he did.....I can't imagine why someone (and I'm a woman) who truly supported Hilary would now support someone who doesn't stand on the same issues.

I think both choices are pitiful. Are these the best 2 candidates to lead our country? If so, I'm moving somewhere!

Please give me a break. There are 300 million people in USA. There is no way we can discuss US or any other politics here without getting into a fight within hours. Some like the daughter and others like the mother. If you post political statements on IORR and you do know it is against the policy on IORR that is a clear sign of disrespect of the editor and the IORR community. It is like stealing candy from kids. Or like robbing old ladies. It may be done but it is not a nice thing to do. Thank you.
