It´s football, not "soccer" (what does that mean, really?), wich I think is a US word. Don´t know why football is used for something that has more to do with rugby, than football?

‘Soccer’ is an ENGLISH term and derives from ‘Football Association’

Only when ‘football’ (as it now globally known) became the most popular sport using the feet, did the term ‘soccer’ fade away.

Countries such as the United States still use the term due to the fact the sport is, somewhat, secondary in terms of popularity and so, to not confuse it with other more popular foot-based sports – NFL etc.

yeah, losing a glorified pre-season friendly that no one takes seriously a couple of months after winning the best league in Europe as well as becoming European champions really is the sign of a team on the slide.....eye rolling smiley

....with pencil tightly clinched between it's teeth, nose pointed to the sky, this mini Francisco Franco
continues its whiney racist ranting. Just wait until a close match is lost and then you will hear it blame
the refs, or weather, or anything besides admit it is a loser.

On a ROLLING STONES music board, where politics are supossedly banned, it is
allowed to spread this brand of racism and intollerance..... breeding hatred.

What a shame !

This is the Champions League - not real football. The CL is over inflated, over hyped and primarily a TV event designed to bring in sponsorship money. It has no footballing soul. It is rigidly controlled by a gang of the big clubs intent on preserving their own interests to the exclusion of all others.

Yes,sir, you might be right. But sometimes we hang on to a dream, believing in the good- not the evil.
For this reason it´s just "making the best of it".
And: Your statement belongs to all these massive poular sports, not just football,so
what´s the alternative ? Pure and clean non-professional sports ?
Maybe, but I "love" my club (don´t get me wrong, love is a big word...)usually I love my ...they know who they are
