I really don't know anything about the clubs other than recognizing the names of some of the elite so I couldn't base my decision on players. I'm part German (though it was many generations ago when my ancestors immigrated to the US) so I thought I'd select a German club. What stood out to me about Munich was that they had a strong history, but haven't won the championship for many years. I didn't recognize their name so I figured they were not on the same level as the elite. However, I also want to follow a team that has a fair shot at winning and figured with their history, they might fair well.

I'll take another look at Werder Bremen. I haven't gotten any tattoos yet, so I could be convinced otherwise.

The word 'soccer' is derived from 'association football'.

The US version of football used to be played much more with the feet, but the rules have changed over the years. The name stayed though.

So depending on where you're from, the word football means something different. No need to be snotty or US bashing.

I am not anti americanism, I just dont stand their politicians and people support their sistem, I lived there for a long time, and love most of the American things, but like I do in Spain, I complain with reason what I dont like, but you know the difference? I couldn´t say anything over there, first thing, What are you doing in this country?

My English team is Manchester City and we luckily got through to the next round of the UEFA Cup last night and are playing AC Omonia of Cyprus next. And we have just signed Zabaleta from Espanol. Is he a good defender?
