Good to see Dennis Dunaway mentioned from Alice Cooper.

Haven't seen Steve Harris from Iron Maiden mentioned yet so I thought I'd throw his name in, as well as Billy Sheehan from David Lee Roth's original band. He was known as the Eddie Van Halen of bass players. Also Stu Hamm, who played with Joe Satriani is an awesome player. In concert, he plays the Linus and Lucy song from Charlie Brown in his solo.

Was listening to Aretha's first lp on Atlantic yesterday, that's why I think Tommy Cogbill should get some praise here;
interesting to see that Jack Casady hasn't been mentioned yet, or did I overlook?

Among others, Paul McCartney. Fantastic swinging style, great melodies.
Spend some time last week listening to the Purple Chick remasters of Rubber Soul and Revolver, as well as Paperback Writer and Rain.
Great playing by Macca there!
