I can't see anything hillarious, entertaining, funny or amusing in Ronnie's situation. He needs support, not being ridiculed.
It's very easy to kick a man (or a woman) when he's down. (Especially if you have limited mental capacity and find it hard to kick back at people who are in good shape, mantally and physically.) But it doesn't mean it's ok to kick him. If you totally lack empathy, you have a problem, too.
