Midnight Rambler is overrated! I never guessed......

Have they ever opened with Midnight Rambler? Can you imagine THAT as an opening song? That would be increiddible. Ha ha - 10 minutes or so long - first song.

Oh wait - fuk, fuk and fuk.

They did - Enmore Theatre, Sidney, Licks Tour.

They opened with Midnight Rambler! Holy shit!

Wow. This just might be the most amount of covers they've done for a show in eons as well!

Midnight Rambler?

It was played on the final night of the tour in Rotterdam. I was there and distinctly remember it. Without looking it up, I think it was also played at one or more of the theatre shows - eg Brixton.

You're right there but,I think those were the only two that I didn't mention.I don't think that Rambler was played at any of the other theater shows besides Brixton.That makes nine performances for the entire 120+ show tour (all in 1995).There may be one or two more that I'm still forgetting - or maybe I'm not but,I'm positive that the grand total was no more than 12.

The common thread in the first seven Voodoo Lounge performances of Midnight Rambler is that none of those first seven cities had Steel Wheels shows.I wonder why all of a sudden they chose to play it again in Rotterdam.

I think they really like the song. More so than some of the warhorses, it SHOULD get played at every show. It's too good of a song to not get played. And way better of a song than a lot of the warhorses anyway.
