I dont really remember talkin about bill
I once said that I am not interested in mick taylor joining the band again
because it will not happen and because the stage might collapse because of his weight

Before Mick Taylor's weight collapses any stage I think your head is gonna float away because it's empty inside except for a tiny little puff of helium and rat chewed dead brain tissue....

Enough said.

Those were heavyweight thoughts. Creds for that.
Ya like those provos back in Holland in late 60s/earliest 70s.
Or like the Sufists. Or like the notorious, possible Palme-assassinator
Ch.P-sson who said, on his release day: "Why do people say things?
Why do people say things?"

But like "everything has sense and is senseless too",
some football games are soooooo boring, some are soooooo exciting.

Football has a poetic beauty best seen in Marley's approach,
or in Swedish group Torsson's Det Spelades Bättre Boll...
Dedicated to Gunnar Nordahl & Black Phillip.

Because in America we grow up with the diversity of five different sports if you include soccer (football). Sad to say but soccer here is even less popular than hockey which is the least popular of what we call the four major sports here.

My theory is that people in many other countries like soccer much more than us because they are not exposed to MLB, NFL, NBA and NHL the way we are here in America. Yes there is an NFL Europe and baseball, basketball and hockey leagues in many other countries but it's not the same imo as the leagues we have here.

Or it could also be that we Americans are just too impatient to get the idea of a defense oriented game like soccer. It's not my cup of tea but if you like soccer more power to you but I wish some fans would chill out and put it in perspective. There seems to be too many riots over soccer games where people get into fights and even killed sometimes? Soccer fans make NFL fans look as mild as Mister Rogers.

For the Americans we call it soccer as to not confuse it with NFL football.

It can be boring at times though, I think they should shorten the field to maybe open up the game to more action instead of all that dead space that just is used for long passes and little skirmishes.

I don't think it is a question of not being 'exposed' to these American sports. Football (soccer) is in our blood. Its our sport. It is the sport of the WORLD.
