Even in a single lyrics in 45 years... Not even one line.. And "Happy" is surely not a happy song...

Just prove me I am wrong

You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes
You just might find
You get what you need

Stray Cat Blues, Parachute Woman, and especially Dear Doctor. these are happy tunes!

You can't always get what you want? But it is all about frustration...

Stray Cat Blues? The guy is vicious and wicked.. He has sex with 13-year old gil, this is not exactly happyness.

I was reffering to happyness as something peaceful, harmony..

Why does there have to be happy lyrics to enjoy a song , most classic songs by well known writers are usually sad or melonchly , the Stones are no different .
Im Free is not a sad song nor is We Love You maybe not their best but not sad .
Dylan's a master of the idiom and Sad Eyed Lady Of The Lowlands is one of my all time favourite songs.
Leave the happy stuff to Ken Dodd and Black Lace

The question is not if the song makes you happy - but if it conveys happy lyrics I get mad when listening to MR, and it is about a psycho killer -

I'm Free: the singer is out of his time, and he begs for love

Parachute woman: he wants to get laid with an easy going girl, and I assume he is too lazy to do anything else than having the girl sitting upon him - "land on me tonight"

"Working for the boss every night and day" is not exactly a happy line - the guy is a fool, trying to keep the pace with his girl who is begging for more cash

You're squeezing your thesis Joker - Freedom = Happiness. And here's another happy refrain:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, whoooo....

For happy optimism I like Always Suffering.

Seriously, I can see his point but off the top of my hed a few like Let's Spend the Night Together, She's A Rainbow, Child of the Moon, Far Away Eyes, Sweethaerts Together, Start Me Up, Moonliht Mile, even Jumping Jack Flash (but it's all right now...) aren't exactly "Woe is me."

How about reading the lyrics at the site with sssoul gave us on the other "happy" thread. Where are you getting these absurd ideas?? I noticed you didnt comment on "Rip This Joint". Read the lyrics to that one, buddy!

oh,no. The singer clearly says "f--- Sir Edward" so obviously he is miserable about not being able to come to terms with his own latent homosexuality. HAR HAR!!

Anyway there's a certain irony in accusing a blues band of not writing happy lyrics.
