What's with Bob playing keyboards for the entire show? Are his legs shot and has to sit on his ass the whole time. I always considered his guitar playing to be some of the high points of his shows. What gives?

He's been playing keyboards for most or all of the show for over 5 years now.

he doesnt sit. He stands.

Reason? Its not confirmed - either arthritis or (more likely) he just wanted a keyboard player and decided to do it himself.

good morning from a very lovely, sunny, Toulouse.

I had the pleasure of attending the show last night.
Wonderful setlist, great show,
thanks for your extensive review olorin- sorry we didnt meet for a beer...
maybe next time.
Simple Twist Of Fate and Nettie Moore were my highlights- superb.

It was written for "The Wonder Years" and was released in 2000.

I suppose you mean "Wonder Boys". Great song in a quite decent movie.

Thank you olorin for your review of the show!

You seem to prefer the faster, rocking tunes. I think Nettie Moore is one of the best songs you can get live these days. Nice to hear you liked the show, I'm really sorry I won't have the chance to see him this time round.

I prefered rock songs rather than ballad just in live. I really love his last album but I think these jazzy ballads he does just break up the dynamic of the show. Also maybe because he played them at different points all over the show. Just one or two of these would have made me happy. But the four or five he played last night were just too much for me.

To Lukester : I prefer to be called brother than sister !
To Adrian-L : Didn't know you were going, and if I had known I would have enjoyed to meet you (although I don't know you !). But are you from Toulouse or from somewhere else ?

I'm from London, olorin - i've just returned from a long-weekend
in beautiful Toulouse.

Toulouse is a beautiful mini-city, and is to be recommended
for a 3-4 day city break.

Good food, good wine, great weather....oh, and the Bob concert was STUNNING.

I was blessed to get 'Simple Twist' - and yes, it was played beautifully.

My other highlight of the set, was a gem of a, 'Nettie Moore'...but really, the entire show was great....
as was the t-shirt and the tour poster, and the post-concert beer.

...the only thing missing, was sharing such a great show, with some of you guys.

Those of you attending the upcoming U.S shows, are in for a treat.

I've gotta stop reading this thread - Bob is not coming to Memphis this year, but going to Little Rock instead...on a Tuesday night......end of August.....in an outside venue. I thought I'd sit this one out - it'll be blazing hot and I'd have to take off 2 days from work (he's playing on a Tuesday) just to get my travel in comfortably.....but if I don't go, it will be the 1st time in 7 years that I haven't seen him on his yearly tour. And now he's playing Tangled again?????

Sigh.........

This setlist makes me want to hear the bootleg. Maybe it's already there!?

Tryin' to get to heaven is beautiful on this tour, and the opening song is very unusual (for the function of an opening song, that is).

Dylan yesterday began his Spanish Tour 2008 in Zaragoza,
source ,[www.elpais.com]
A genious surly and temible.
Anyone has the setlist?
The article talks about Dylan´s indifference as usual, stucked his keyboard and no playing his guitar anymore.

By the way: a soundboard recording of the early Supper Club Show (Nov 17th 1993) has surfaced on Dime! If I got this right, this particular show (in contrast to the other 3 supper club shows) has never been available as a soundboard recording up to now so it might be worth the download (in fact it IS worth the download because I'm listening to it right now)! smiling smiley

It's a quite nice little tune off Under The Red Sky

Or alternatively on HungerCity

According to the statistics this was the first time ever that Handy Dandy was performed live!

Correct, and that debut means he's now played every song from UNDER THE RED SKY in concert (18 years after it's release).
