I've always loved "Reach Out (I'll Be There)" by the Four Tops. James Jamerson's bass line is what makes the song. That's an all-time fave of mine.

I don't have a particular favourite. All the Four Tops hits were amazing and I love The Supremes.

Motown Gold is an esential compilation.

I love motown music, but the one song that cannot fail to put a smile on my face is 'The Happening' by the Supremes. I'm not normally the kind to go for that unashamed sweet girl group thing, but that song? Dunno...there's the tempo, the key changes (normally a no-no) and the whole vibe.

I Ain't Got Nothing / Just My Imagination - THE TEMPTATIONS

Big fan of the Temptations, so most of their classics would be amongst my faves - especially Ball of Confusion, Papa was a rolling stone, get Ready

Marvin Gaye would be up there as well.

Four Tops, Stevie Wonder, the Miracles of course too.

I think probably about half of my favourite ten vocalists of all time would have been on Motown, with Levi Stubbs as the best of the bunch.

However, my fave Motown song is an easy one to choose, because its probably one of my two or three favourite records of all time..

Thats one of my favourites, always used to play this when i was doing the mobile discos.
