I think Mean Disposition was the first Stones Studio-Song wich wasn´t released on Vinyl. Am i right. And if i´m not, where to find this on vinyl.
The other ones are Hurricane, Under the radar, Don´t wanna go home. Anyway you look at it was on a 12" i think.
And does someone know how many Vinyls were made of Vodoo Lounge, Bridges, Bigger Bang & Flashpoint? I´m interested in such terms.
greetings from vienna

If I remember correctly when "Undercover" came out, the version of "Wanna Hold You" on the cassette was about 30 seconds longer (extra verse I think) than the LP version. AFAIK, the CD issues of the album contain the 'cassette' version.

I dont recall seeing 'Anyway you look at it' on anything but a CD single, personally, although I'm not saying it isnt available on vinyl!

The vinyl version of Flashpoint omitted a few of the Steel Wheels songs.

Uggggggghhhhhhhhh. 'Mean Disposition' came on my friend's iPod today (we were driving in his car), and I realized just how much I despise this track. An absolutely worthless piece of rubbish, IMO ... probably my least favorite Stones track ever. Boring misogynistic lyrics, no discernable melody, nothin'!!! Just awful.

Where is the misogyny (Hatred of women) in these words??

I'm getting wise to you
You're going to see
I'm going to work on you
The way you worked on me
I got a sharper aim
And you're in my sights
And if I'm going to go
I'm going in a blaze lights

And in this crazy world of hit and run
There are no laws here
Just a loaded gun

She's got a mean disposition
She's got a big shooter too
She's got a mean disposition
Really make a mess
Really make a mess out of you

I never close my eyes
I never sleep
I'm staying on my guard
Waiting for my flesh to creep
And I never trusted you
You never trusted me
I'll do a deal with you
If you'll do a deal with me

For me the nightmare's only just begun
There is no law here
Just a loaded gun

She's got a mean disposition
Got a big shooter too
She's got a mean disposition
Got a bad attitude
She's got a mean disposition
Going to cut your half
Going to cut your half in two

I'm going have to stand my ground
Like Crockett at the Alamo
I'm going to draw the line
One of us has got to go

She's got a mean disposition
Got a big shooter too
She's got a mean disposition
Got a bad attitude
She's got a mean disposition
Going to make a mess out of you
She's got a mean disposition
Going to cut your half
Going to cut your half in two

Tastes are tastes: without doubt one of my personal best, if not the best on Voodoo Lounge. Great swing!

always hated that this song was tacked onto the end of the CD.

There are a lot of folks here with Mean Dispositions towards this song.
I think liddas nailed it.
This songs swings like big band.

Think of Dean-o singing it with a great big brass section.

Great tune.

I like it enough, but not to finish off the Voodoo Lounge disc. Shoulda stayed Thru & Thru.

It took me a while to get over resenting this for being where it is at the end of VL - but I do like it more each time I listen to it. Just wish it wasn't there spoiling the atmosphere at the end of Thru & Thru.

Love this song. One of the few genuinely convincing stuff of the later years.

Great song with a laid back subtle groove. One of my favorites off VL.

Not my cup of tea, to be honest. Not The Worst from VL either. To make VL an even better album, I would have replaced "Baby Break It Down" and "Suck On the Jugular" with "The Storm" and my choice for 1st single, "Jump On Top Of Me". So that leaves on "Mean Disposition", I guess.

I don't believe this! What a G-d awful song, especially for Stones standards, in my humble opinion.

What's this?? Taken off Baby Break It Down??!?!?!? This is one of my all-time favorite songs of the Stones!! The 1-2 punch of this into Thru & Thru.....ooooooooh man that's killer!! I do agree that Jump On Top of Me should have been on the album, so I'd vote for squeezing that in somewhere and removing Mean Disposition, leaving it for a B-Side.
