I don't know, the album is still on course to chart on Europe, Japan, South America, etc.

The album has sold 60,130 copies between UK/US during the first week, and about 5k in Canada, that's all I know.

This might sound negative, and it's not, but I think 60.000 copies between the US/UK isn't very much considering all the publicity they had,is it? So ,there are about 50.000 fans between the US/UK? It just doesn't seem a lot to me for a band like the rolling stones... and I probably shouldn't compare cd sales with eg. sold copies of "Harry Potter" (592.000 sold copies in Holland)

23,000 of them were in the UK, though - if that ratio was matched in the US in relation to the difference in population, you would have expected them to have sold around 120,000 there.

To get some perspective, Leona Lewis' album topped the US charts with 205,000 sales. The second best selling album sold 59,000. If SAL had sold even half as well in the US as it did in the UK, they would have reached #2.

Count some factors. First: It's a live album, not new stuff. Second: It's the 5th
Stones live album in the last 17 years and the 4th in the last decade. Third: many people probably wait for the DVD. Four: the level of the sales nowadays. At time when Sheryl Crow does sell in her first week 112.000 copies worldwide, Killers 142.000, Lenny Kravitz 191.700 and Radiohead 299.900, SAL do very well. As live album, of course. If 23.000 copies in UK were poor sales nowdays, then SAL would be not on #2.

I'm not saying 23.000 copies are poor sales. Obviously, it doesn't take more than that to be #2. But, in my head, 60.000 copies is, what I expected, the number of copies sold in a stones market as eg Holland.
Every fan has a copy by now, hasn't he? (I mean fans like us).
Conclusion: it is very clear that I know nothing about cd sales...

SAL debuted at number 3 in Austria - quite impressive, I think!
