Will put up couple more at the "vintage" thread at Buy/Sell/trade,
in order not to take this thread over...
I also intend to create a new playlist at my "baboonbro" page
at Youtube; a Cornelis-playllist. Maybe from Sunday-Monday.

Wally Tax and The Outsiders (they played in Den Bosch, 3-26-1966, as a support-act for our boys).

The best Dutch band EVER.

(they still have a fanclub in the U.S.)

George Baker Selection - Una Paloma Blanca. This must be the most well known (and irritating?!) Dutch rock/pop song ever:

The song was composed by Johannes Bouwens (AKA George Baker) and released in 1975. The song title is in Spanish, it is translated in English as white dove.

The George Baker clip reminded me of this one:

Fatal Flowers was a very good rock band indeed. Too bad they split up. Just a clip how good they sounded:

And although they were more a bluesband The Strikes sure knew who to rock! To bad the split up also. Big Pete still performs; sometimes with the Lester Butler Tribute Band. That (Dutch) guy is a helluva harp player:

Demagogue!

Loved this band in the 90's, and the album Persona Non Grata.
Great rap and rock hybrid!

BTW, Deeper Shade Of Soul (1991, #21) is their greatest hit in the US:

Bolland & Bolland - In The Army Now (1982). Status Quo made a cover version in 1986, and it's this version most people know.

Maybe not: [www.songfacts.com]

"Apart from the American group The Outsiders there also was a Dutch popgroup called The Outsiders. They came from Amsterdam. Wally Tax was the singer and sort-of-leader, other members were Appie Rammers, Leendert Busch, Ronals Splinter and Tom Krabbendam. During 1966/1967 they had five top-10 hits in a row in The Netherlands"

It seems it was the american band the Outsiders which had a hit with " Time Won't Let Me".

OK, that's what I thought, I also heard that the American Outsiders were a producer's band, ie:rock producers in the 60's had a few musicians they worked with and they came out with all these one hit wonders in which it was often the same musician's in each of these bands. I heard this 3rd party and don't know how true is really is.
