She Was Hot is fantastic and so are all of the duets but Some Girls just blows my mind. The tri-guitar SKRONK is cool. Where did that come from? Bring on te jam boys!

Does anyone find it odd that Ronnie starts the tune when Keith starts it on the record?

I love the part when Mick stays opposite the back up singers in the movie and Lisa goes "Huu"!It grooves . .

Musically I heard even better versions on boots but you can't always get . .

Sounds mostly good. I don't care for Jagger cheaping out on vocals though. Keith makes up for it though - Charlie owns it though.

Maybe I should change my name to Wattsfan....

I refer to many discussions on this board. (Keith makes my friends laugh etc.)

I think this song is Mick's weakest (vocally) in the movie. It seemed like he did not want to push his voice on this song too much. He didn't sound great on this one at the actual show either. I remember writing the next day that he didn't try to hit some of the higher notes during the song. Recall he was having problems with his throat/voice and they postponed the second Beacon show by a day because of this.

Overall, I thought the actual sound is better in the movie than it was at the Beacon but I think the sound quality was dependent on where you were sitting/standing in the theater.

I think the main reason Mick didn't go 'all the way' with the vocal is the fact he is not terribly comfortable with this song. Never had done it on any other tour, and only a few times even prior to this show. That is evident in the beginning of the film when they rehearse this song. All in all though, Mick is the only weak link. Everybody else - top form! And Mick compensates for a limp vocal when you watch the film as his stage presence is amazing in the song.

There are passages in this version of SWH that put me in mind of listening to Keith & Ronnie in the Barbarians. I can hear it in both the licks they're playing and maybe in the way the guitars are often EQd on this album.

I love it especially Lisa's Whoo near the end. That just sends them into overdrive.

Have just been singing its praises over on the Rocks Off board. Its an absoloutley scorching rendition. My favourite performance from the show and imo, the most exciting Stones live performance in a long long time.

It is simply beautiful. I even find it better of the original. So many bashed this last release and I don't get their point. The ONLY critic I accept is that there have been better shows during the ABB tour, but this only means that it was a mighty fine tour!

I can't agree. I just listened to it. Jagger's voice is SO important to the fun and delivery of this song (and so many others) that when he cheaps out, it takes SO much away.

Let's be clear: the studio version is superb!

This is a mighty fine live version - the vocals just can't be as if recorded in a studio. That said Jagger is fine, but what makes the difference is the groove, charlie's drumming, the over all sound (no bombastic effects on kick drum and lead guitar), the ... (hold tight) ... piano higher in the mix (I love Ian's original boogie, but it is too low in the mix) and the back op vocals. Lisa nails it!
