A top UK Neurosurgeon (Dr. Vini Khurana) says using hand held/mobile/cell phones for 10 years can double your chances of getting Brain Cancer. He predicted there will be many more cases of these fatal brain tumors in the next decade after reviewing over 100 studies on the topic that all show a danger of the tumors forming from cell phone radiation exposure. Dr. Khurana was quoted as saying, "This danger has far broader public-health ramifications than cigarette smoking and asbestos." Nearly 3 billion people world wide use mobile phones regularly, only 1 billion smoke. A mobile-phone industry group dismissed Khurana's claims as exaggerated (and as we all know, big business and multi - national drug companies always put our well being and health first) I already hate cell phones and hardly ever use one, now I think it's time to really stop cold. Mick's ear seems glued to his cell phone 24/7 so hope he see's this report - we NEED him around to Rock some more !!! (This news story is all over the place from Australia to North America to Europe today) Scary stuff IMHO.....

Way too many children have their own cell phones. I wouldn´t dream of giving one to my little daughter. It´s funny, parents protect their children in every way they can, but they don´t care about their brains. It´s a big experiment we´re participating in and no one seems to care about the outcome.

It's my understanding (obviously not an expert but read a lot) that the waves that go to your cell phone are pretty close to the waves that your microwave oven uses. Think about it, they have to be pretty strong to track you down inside a cement shopping mall or high rise. This is not the first report I've heard about brain cancer and cell phones but Motorola has a lot more cash to block neg info than independent researchers do to get the word out..... if motorola (in the states) even comes close to agreeing with any study leaning towards a cancer increase they might as well file for bankruptcy that same day.... ain't gonna happen.....

There are so many wireless signals buzzing around us all day long (mobile phones, sat navs, wireless internet etc) frying our brains- as someone else said, we are all part of the experiment- I guess we will find out in due course what will happen!

Seems like he could be right.

The cars we drove 50 years ago, THOSE where harmful. Excessive sleep is also a very bad thing just like more than a litre yoghurt a day has to be harmful in some way.

The fact that Keith has a lot of knowledge about music does not make him an authority on cellphone radiation. Of course it is still possible that the source he quotes, is right. But I cannot imagine many things less interesting than a R'n'R hero quoting other people about things far from music...

Still, back on topic (SH*T what am I doing???) it is all a matter of quantity, excess. The human body is very capable of adjusting/guarding itself, but only to a certain limit. I do not believe for a second that in 50 years, our cellphones of today will prove to be as harmful as smoking was 50 years ago.
