What's a jugular, really? Don't tell me it's a four letter word starting with a d, we would find that to be most vulgar and I enjoyed the song until now.

Well the jugular is a part of the neck. As far as its context in the song...hard to say. Maybe it's a take on the expression "go for the jugular"
