Hello everyone, Im seriously thinking of driving 200 miles plus, from my home in the north-west of England next Wednesday, just to catch a glimpse of Mick, Keef, Charlie and Ronnie outside the "Shine A Light" premiere.
Am I completely crazy or are there other Stones fanatics on here, doing something similar?
(knowing I'm not alone would help!!)
*I entered several competitons to win tickets, but wasn't successfulsad smiley
Words of encouragement much 'ppreciated-ta!smiling smiley

Absolutely worth the drive. Be there early. Get a good spot. The Stones do want a large crowd and lots of publicity. Find the red carpet and see where the expensive cameras are pointing. Have fun! PS. Most of the people who come there are not hardcore fans like me and you, they are just happy to be there. It should e fairly easy to get a good sight of the guys!

If someone were to ask you..."Hey why didn't you go see the Stones at the Shine A Light premiere?" And you would answer..."it was too far and too ridiculous to travel all that way."

If you're totally okay and 100% willing to accept that answer--then don't go. But if you can't even agree that it's a valid reason not to go...you better get in that car and start that drive.

What the hell, you only live once. Personally though I don't think I would walk across the street for a glimpse if they weren't going to be playing.

I and others went to Berlin from UK and elsewhere, with no regrets. So you're not alone. You have nothing to lose but possible regret. DO IT!! But make sure to go early to get a good spot.

Ah Leicester Square. My mum worked at the movie theatre there from 1939 until 1942 and now it's the site of a Stone's premiere.

6 of the Vikings, including myself, will fly in from Sweden, to try and get a glimpse of the boys, and then watch the movie at the IMAX.

yeah we had a blast in Berlin! it was totally nuts, terribly cold, wonderfully exhilarating
and 137% worthwhile. so go baby go - and let 'em know we love 'em!

Hi everyone.

My first time posting. I do intend to be at Leicester Square, although as I live in London, I haven't far to travel. I think I would try to travel even if I did live out of London (my friends think I'm mad but at 30, I haven't had as much chance to see the Stones as slightly older fans).
Have booked the day off work and have my tickets for the Leicester Square Vue across the road from the Odeon. And can't wait!

Maybe I'll see some of you there!

I'm giving it some serious thought. Any idea what time they are likely to be there, as I will have to travel up after work and come back the same night, as can't get time off!!
