Who is BP? And are there any more pics from El MOcambo (by BP, open-g or anybody). Ah, that holy grail...

they were posted here as well: [www.iorr.org]
i'm 99.7% sure the El Mo shots are by Ken Regan. the "BP" credit on the original site
seems to be referring to something else (the "portraits" of the amp, or the amp itself)

Ok cool with sssoul, thanks for the link - Ken Regan sounds very likely.

I never realised how small this joint really is.

What the wet stuff on Keith's left arm?

Sweat?! Remember he wasn't in a good shape in those days!!

and great pics!
I always wondered why there've been so few pics from those important gigs. There must have been some photographers for shure.(and you can see some in the pic)

And what a great way to see them!
Never heard of anybody who was at those gigs . .

I can only imagine what those shows must have been like. Such great set lists as well. I hope there is some sort of recording or video locked away somewhere of this that we get to see one day.

He should be that guy in red?! And he must have much more pics from these shows . .

It might sound odd, but the photos really capture how the 4 songs on Love You Live sound. I can imagine them doing Crackin' Up on that little stage with the palm tree art in the back...too cool...

I know! it starts off great too. I could imagine him playing on "Luxury" too, but it's so near the end of the set; he's probably whipping up the crowd at that point.

How can it be that noone filmed it? Even if it was a surprise gig, sort of.

Fantastic photos. Thank you!!! The version of "Around Around" is so good at El Mocambo. The guitars have a very unique sound during those 2 shows foreshadowing what was going to happen in 1978 : the Stones playing the most exciting Rock 'nd Roll music of their career!!
Rock and Roll,
Mops
