Saw it last night in Austin. If you are Stones fan. It's funny, it's touching and it is as loud as a locomotive. It's rock and roll. It's not the Stones from the 60's, it's not the Stones from the 70's, it's the Stones now....still rocking, Keith has the final say at the end with a reference to a certain Scorsese flick. See it. More later maybe SXSW is still rocking.

I saw Beacon 2, but have not seen the Shine A Light. If I were Shangri-La, though, I would have your "blurb" above blown up and put on every piece of promo material vaguely related to the film.

was it hard scoring a seat for the American premier. Could you get a general consensus what others thought of it as your were leaving the theater? Cant wait to see this movie, and dying for all the details.
No it wasn't hard because if you had a badge for the SXSW fest, you could get in. The people who there seemed to enjoy it. it was beautiful to look at. Since it was at the IMAX, it was real loud.
I also saw this in Austin on Friday...Great sound, camera work, and the Stones in your Face, just like a crossfire hurricane!! Keith and Buddy Guy going at it toe to toe on "Champaign and Reefer", Kicked ass, is just one of my highlights and there are many, many more. The place was not packed at all and the folks that were there, along with myself, applauded after each song...it was just like being there at the Beacon. So hold on to your hats when you go to see this one, I will be seeing this again and again!
