I feel the same way about Rolled Gold, terrific photos and music, allthough this was in the mid 80s

Was this only a UK release?

Yes, Edith Grove - sold via TV commercials. Don't think one could buy it in the stores....one had to order it.
There was a double album; "Greatest Hits" in the late 70s, which was sold the same way; for us in Scandianvia.

It was available in stores, in the UK at least, released on the Arcade label and, as EricSnow says, advertised on T.V.

Not that dissimilar to Rolled Gold.

WOW! You can see the sparkle from the diamond in Mick's tooth!

Similar to Rolled Gold, though the inclusion of Tell Me on side one and the omission of the studio Rambler, made it a slighty better compilation.

:-) This was the first Stones item I ever purchased. It was at my village fete for £1! I can't have been more than 10 or 11 years old at the time.

That was the start of an addiction...which Chris Eborn's book (Rolling Stones Album / Not Fade Away) and the Band's performance at my first concert in 95 has to share responsibility for.
