Someone posted this list of songs included in the movie on imdb -- I can live with this (though I wish they'd included "I'm Free"). Should make a fine soundtrack cd:

Jumpin' Jack Flash
Shattered
She Was Hot
All Down The Line
Loving Cup (with Jack White)
As Tears Go By
Some Girls
Just My Imagination
Far Away Eyes
Champagne & Reefer (with Buddy Guy)
Tumbling Dice
You Got The Silver
Connection
Sympathy For The Devil
Live With Me (with Christina Aguilera)
Start Me Up

encore:
Brown Sugar
Satisfaction

I understand having Buddy Guy on,he's a stones mentor but I cant figure out why they waste dvd space with squirts that real Stones fans dont give a sh-t about. Unless its Mick trying to prove he's still "hip". You know fans of these youngsters dont care about the Stones and wont buy the dvd(although their parents might). It kinda ruins the whole package.

they had to keep the show interesting for the 'pretty young things' down front, to stop them getting bored.

I think you'll find plenty of "real" Stones fans who appreciate the White Stripes.

I guess so! Maybe if the pretty young things down front who dont care about the music and treat it like just an event to be seen at would stay home real Stones fans could afford to see their heros.

If that is the final set list I think Scorsese and teh 'boys' are going to give quite a lesson for their casual audiences - namely, there are not many songs they are familiar with already! Their regular set lists are much 'easier' to sing-a-long and follow. I think this offers the oppurtunity for the people really listen to the band. I hope they do oksmiling smiley

That would make a great set list for a regular show!

If thats the final setlist, why not include the title track?

I remember hearing that "Shine A Light" (the original studio version) will be a soundtrack for the ending texts.

Lose Start Me Up and it's a great setlist.

They will touch up Connection I am sure. Although the ragged version of Little T &A On Bigger Bang DVD was just great. Keeping the lines where he forgot the words worked you know. Interested to see if Connection is touched up. I wish they could nail that one just a once. Great setlist. Cool if I'm Free or Shine A light but can't have it all. MEZ

It does matter. As far as I know, they are not done. What doesn't matter is how many people will buy it even though it will sell at least multiple thousands of copies which means at the fewest, thousands of people are interested in it.A few of these tracks are worn out however, the majority of them are not. Most of the world doesn't care about ANY given band.In the worse case scenario, this album is sure to be better than the mostly weak chart topping garbage of today.

Hopefully Scorsese will include some extra tracks (such as I'm Free or Undercover) in the bonus features of the DVD.

Re: unconfirmed setlist

Yes.The more bonus songs, the better if you ask me.

Did Buddy Guy do more than one song at the actual show?

Re: unconfirmed setlist

I don't believe so.

Wow I forgot Undercover was played! Yes that must be a bonus song I hope. I love the version from Atlanti City 89. This should of been played more esp since it was a "hit". 40 licks etc Hope it makes the cut! MEZ

yeah, and in the US, we've all been bombarded with chase bank's remix of "i'm free" that everyone who sees the movie will be familiar with the song

They should have released Shine A Light (studio) as a single, backed by
2 or 3 live tracks of that show. Shine A Light is an outstanding song
that could have made it today and could get airplay through all this hype.

Chase Bank is a widely known, notorious gangster rapper and D.J. in the U.S.He has also remixed the Winning Ugly VI remix.Seriously though,Chase Bank is a bank that backs Visa credit cards and used I'm Free remix(es) in their heavily aired (lately) commercials.

sorry, this is a re-run from the other thread - i'm still underslept from the beautiful trip - but:
a fragment Shine a Light (a concert or rehearsal version) is in the flick, but not exactly during the credits -
it fades to that "dedicated to Ahmet" moment. the music during the credits per se consists of
an amazing acoustic + harp rehearsal of Wild Horses, plus another beautiful acoustic instrumental.

The girls in the front rows were paid extras for the film, I believe.

I wish they'd performed "I Go Crazy", for posterity.
