Nice one, Adrian. Thanks for the link to that fascinating, but somewhat depressing, article.

Great player and a great man. Wish there were more of his kind around today.

Thanks for that link adrian. I'll be the first to admit i'm not a football fan, but it was a very interesting read. So sad about the way he was treated though...

Meanwhile, you got charlatans tickets for the Forum on May 15th??

Bobby Moore was one of the true greats from a time when men were men and footballers had decency. He'd put today's bunch of overpaid self-obsessed no-hopers to shame.

When you look back at the likes of Moore, Charlton, Matthews, Greaves, Billy Wright and even Jimmy Hill, you have to wonder just how the hell we ended up with John Terry and Ashley Cole.

i'd feel decidedly queasy, just mentioning those greats, in the same post, as scum like Terry and Cole.

Well, I don't know if I felt queasy as such!

Met one of your players, Nigel Quashie, in my line of work the other day. A nice guy. Has a bad injury though and reckons he'll be out all season.

Congrats to Fulham, for pulling-off an unexpected, great-escape.

And they did it by continuing to play football as it should be played.

So pleased to see them stay in the Premier League, I love visiting Craven Cottage with it's olf fashioned family atmosphere.
