Am going to see them next Monday, their first time in Singapore. They have been getting lot of press, and have sold out the Indoor Stadium, which the Stones didn't.

great! i was in rome seeing the stones when they came through chicago. i had tix to the police but sold them and lost money...

They gonna visit Marseilles in France, whose Stadium is already sold out ( 60,000 ). The Stones did that in 2003.

There were 2 Stones shows in Singapore, 24 & 26 May, 2003. They sold cca. 14,000 of the 17,000 available tickets. Maybe the Stones haven't sold out none of the two, but I hope you can understand that the Stones sold MORE tickets than the Police.

I have a greatest hits of sting and the police, which I havn't played for years...

I used to quite like them, but for some reason I just don't really dig them anymore.

Perhaps it's partly to do with the fact that I think Sting is a twat.

I'm surprised they did as well as they did in 2007. They had the top North American and top Billboard tour with totals of $131 million $212 million respectively.

I feel EXACTLY the same way. Enough of these guys already. They need to get arrested (get it? Police) and all thrown in Gitmo for about 5 years. I believe Sting's a terrorist, he terrorizes my ears.....

of course I understand, and I WAS AT BOTH of the Stones shows, and neither one was sold out. And infact many seats were given away. Ashame, they should have played one night and it would have sold out, and the promoter wouldn't have lost his shirt on it, and they would come back to Singapore! I hope they do! It was two of the best stones shows I have ever seen!

The Police are headlining Hyde Park, London, on sunday 29th June.

Eric Clapton is headlining on saturday 28th June.

Well, if The Police wanna sing the same song now that the Stones have been singing for years, then let 'em.

Besides, it's a good song.

Their show in Oakland last year was a real dud - all their songs sound the same! Zzzzzzzzzz

The plan was a year minimum right out the gate, and there are still a lot of places they haven't played yet.

I would see them again but it would need to be a lot cheaper than $225.

Great drummer in that band.

I take back my Tom Petty keeping his ticket prices reasonable comment. He's now in the $100 a seat range for the summer tour. It will be the same show as 2 summers ago...same set, different order (sound familiar)?

I'm going to see them on the 16th of this month in Honolulu. It's a Saturday night show and had nothing else planned so I'll go see Stink sing Roxanne I guess...

I don't love that band, but I don't hate 'em either, kinda neutral and never seen 'em sorta thing...

They played in Denmark last year but it was not a great buzz - but I think they sold out?

Then, yesterday, I read in my paper that a planned concert for this summer has only sold 6.000 out of app 30.000 - not too good.

BTW - I do like their two first albums - after that it was a slippery slope downhill - to my ears anyways ;-)

North American Ampitheaters...this time. No official announcment has been made. My sources are IN the touring industry and I hear about some tours months before announced. No rumors or gossip on Stones.

As there in deed are rumours & gossip about Stones touring Europe, one can just wonder...
Not sayin' I believe in all this talk, but ya get yer doubts..
