I've played baseball...bored me to tears. The Britney Spears of sports - all the hype, no quality, no talent. All those geezers on enhancing drugs. For what? Not one of them is honest about any of it.

I politely disagree......"Not one of them is honest?" Oh puhleaze......."no talent?" You're joking, right?......I've played a lot of baseball and don't recall ever being bored......to each his own.

Hey charmer. I want the Giants and some points. Have you heard a spread yet? I'm guessing 7 points ought to do it.

Hey Lukester. Being the smart cookie ya are. I had a feeling you were going to say that. The line opened at 13 1/2 for the Patriots. Down to 12 now. I'm with you.Like the Giants and points. Wouldn't shock me to see them win outright.....Hmmm,wonder if I could parlay the Giants covering and Tom Petty playing Running Down A Dream, into a bet. I'll have to ask my Uncle 4 Fingers about that.

Can someone explain what this sad story is about?

Looks like a video someone made to promote Nebraska football (the team with the "N" on their helmets.)
Don't really understand the PIB connection, though.
At the end of the video, the head coach is encouraging the team to play hard,
even though a championship is not theirs to win this time.
Those college kids tend to go after it a bit more than the pros do, IMO.

Joker, what do you find particularly sad about it?

Paint it black is supposed to convey something sad, don't you think?

Is there a connection with the line of opponents dressed in black?

OK, I see your point.
At first view, I saw another rough-and-tumble college football game.
I suppose if I were a supporter of the team in black, I would have a different view.
But the video was all about the team that was beating up on the black team.
Perhaps there could have been a better choice of music for the video.

Is anybody from the New York/Boston areas going to the game?....I imagine any excuse to go to a warmer climate would be welcome at this point.

Well its media day tomorrow. How many questions will Brady get about his foot? Of course the main question will be if the Patriots are considered to be the best ever if they win. That debate will rage on unless its a blowout.

This will be sooooooooooooooo boring and a joke. How the giants got here is a joke. at least GB or Dallas would have put up a little fight.

Well lets see...

Why I want the Patriots to win:

1. They are in the AFC East, Buffalo's division.
2. When and if we can beat them we could say that we beat the best.
3. I would like to see them run the table now that they have gone this far.
4. I want them to finally shut up the 1972 Dolphins who ran the table then and won the Super Bowl (In less games)
5. The Bills lost to the Giants in the Super Bowl that they should have won.

Why I want the Giants to win:

1. I'm sick of the Patriots.
2. I want to see some team really put some heat on Brady and see how he handles it.
3. They are from my state New York
4. I like their color scheme (especially the helmet color)
5. I think that they are more humble than the Patriots who like to showboat and run up the score on inferior teams.

Bottom line I'm undecided but closing in on a pick.

Now that is what I'm thinking with my heart but my head says that the Patriots will win easily.

OK guys! Be VERY careful this Sunday!
There is now scientific evidence proving that big games can be hazardous to your health.

Meanwhile, maybe there'll be some good diving competitions on soon, a lot more fun to watch, even without a point spread...
