Just saw this film on DVD last week (I know, a bit of a late "Film Watchin' Fan") and was blown away at how powerful and truly bleak it was - The Chaos is all SO REALISTIC. Seems like a whole new level of Film Making to me. People are calling it the new BLADE RUNNER but I'm not sure I agree with that - different vibe. My GF's also watched it twice and feels really strong about it, crying through the second half both times of course.... So what do you think of it ??? Also, what do you think of the FRANCO BATTIATO version of RUBY TUESDAY in the film ??? I thought it brought out a whole new beautiful aspect to the song not even heard in the original Stones version (which is already very beautiful in it's own way)... So What Do You Think ???
Thumbs UP or DOWN ??? (and let's hope this isn't a glimpse into the future, I'm not so sure it's not)

I wouldn't call it a masterpiece, but it's definitely worth seeing. It's like the present situation in Iraq with all the violence and bombs exploading at crowded places combined with the invasive surveillance from Orwell's 1984.
I thought it was very poor, Cain yet again phoned in a cliched perfomance. the plot was so leaky and lacked any credibility. at times it was more like an epiosde of the A-Team. A shame as I'm a big fan of author P.D. James, I havnt read this book but would like to think that the themes explored in the movie were done in the book with a bit more depth. as an action movie it didnt work for me either, just coulnt belive any of it. SHAME.
I'd give it an OK to GOOD. Definitely did not live up to the hype in my eyes.
I loved the futuristic portrayel of the consequences of unfettered immigration (coming soon to a city near you). I also liked the cinematography and general craftmanship of the film.
I thought the plot of mass infertility mildly interesting at best and cavalierly never explained. Likewise the degeneration of the plot into a Gauntlet (see Clint Eastwood) type of chase pretty boring.
Best movies I've seen recently: No Country for Old Men, Charlie Wilson's War
Worst Movvies I've seen recently : Atonement (talk about un-warranted Hype! What a piece of Shite)

keeffan4ever, I have a question for you? I watched NCFOM last night on my computer (Vizda.TV/ streaming free movies) anyway does it end with the villain sitting in the wife's house offering her a coin flip? or did I miss something?
ahhh i dont know, havent seen it yet, i just knew that guy was the killer from reviews and commercials/trailers ive seen ... i was like 'that guy looks exactly like Charlie'!! haha
i never go the movies always wait for it to be on dvd/cable becaues it happens pretty quick nowadays, maybe i will check out that vizda.tv im not that computer savy i had no idea you could watch movies for free on the computer
Yeah, it's a pretty amazing site. You have to download a special version of Explorer ( called Mozilla Firefox) then use that particular version to get to the Website and the movies will play much better than without it.
Another movie definietly not as good as it's hype was 3:10 To Yuma. Pretty much ridiculous and unbelievable to me.
I hate this movie! I watched it about 6 months ago and it got such great reviews I could not believe how awful it was! Nothing here moved me, and a few times I considered just turning it off completely but I thought it may get better! HORRIFIC! Bleak, yes, but pointless waste of time IMO.
The look of the movie was OK, but I was never a Blade Runner fan either. But the screen play is very week. It is a typical, next to no plot, get from A to B movie (War of the Worlds).
