It was televised live worldwide...Daltrey's voice was very ropey but their performance was a show-stealer. 'Who Are You' and 'Wont get Fooled again' were outstanding.

its on youtube. i think mick and keiths performance of salt of the earth was the classiest performance of the evening though.

And of course, miami 2017 by billy joel still gives me chills...

It was not a Who concert. They only played three or four songs. They played them a little better than usual. Added historical significance because it was the last time they played on American soil with Entwistle.

Amazing Journey, so far, is a great DVD. I have only watch the first hour and it is great.

I saw Amazing Journey last fall at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica. The event was advertised as a sneak look at an upcoming rock film on a double bill with Gimme Shelter. I went to the theater hoping that they would be screening Shine a Light and got so excited when I heard Under My Thumb play in the theater before the movie began.

It was the Who's version of Under My Thumb, however, and the surprise film turned out to be Amazing Journey.

Amazing Journey blew me away, and the footage from the Who's performance at Concert for New York Cuty moved me to tears . . . not just the band, but the shots of the audience members, some in police uniforms.

Two of the guys who made the film were at that screening and spoke about it. I forget their names, though.

I'd have to say the most moving performance at the concert for New York was James Taylor's Fire And Rain which, by eerie coincidence (and totally unlike any of the Who songs), had lyrics that were oddly appropriate to the occassion.

The Who were good, but Mick n Keef were better and Bowie was great.

Of course, Destiny's Child were the best to watch ....

I remember seeing the concert relive, uncut, the second day after it happened on VH1.
There was a strong promo for Mick and Paul McCartney, first time one the same stage after a hundred years or somenthing like that... Not a word about Keith.
The Who delivered a fantastic perfomance. Just four songs but great show. Still with John Entwistle on bass.
Then something was brewing in the dark on the other stage. Mick appeared pushing forward Keith for the first verse of SOTE.
A biiiiig surprise for everybody, the audience and the TV viewers. Please consider the moment it happened: somewhere in between B2B, long before the start of the Licks tour...
