Work in Canada a lot, and love heading to TO for some shows.

If you think that's funny, obviously you've never watched Curling... It's played on ice with rocks and brooms. A Winter Olympic sport now, Canada usually wins.

The games, called "Bonspiels" are accompanied by constant choruses of "Hard! Hurry Hard! Harder!"

No highsticking necessary STG. I understand that the Canadians and Maple Leafs are fairly respectable this year...Although still not as good as my SJ Sharks.

As for Hurling,er curling. I'd rather watch paint dry.....Just kidding,actually being the sports junkie that I am. I actually watched a lot of Curling at the last Olympics. I think the USA even won a medal if I'm not mistaken.

I spent most of 1975 and 1976 on the road playing drums for a few different bands. My favorite Canada experience was in a band called Black & Blue, when we played two weeks at the Inn on the Park in Toronto (LOVE that city).

The stranger experiences were with a country rock band booked out of Nashville called The Tennessee Nation Band. We played two and a half weeks in Dawson Creek, B.C. (Mile 0 of the Alaska Highway), actually a very nice gig with lots of nice people coming out to hear us play.....and a week in Nipawin, SASK.

There was a particular evening in Nipawin when we were playing a very bad version of a John Denver song with a very bad lead singer in a Chinese restaurant that booked country bands from the US, and it hit me...."I'm playing 'Country Roads' in a terrible band from the US, in a Chinese restaurant in Canada.....my career has just hit rock bottom!"

Within two years I was back in college finishing my music degree!
