Ronnie signing copies of his book today...

Not sure if this has been posted yet but Ronnie will be in London today...I was lucky enough to go to the last London signing.

Ronnie up-front and personal

Rolling Stones legend Ronnie Wood will be signing copies of his new book 'Ronnie: The Autobiography' on Wednesday 21st November at 3:30pm at the No.1 Piccadilly Virgin Megastore.

Ronnie Wood is one of rock's true originals. This is his story, in his own words, about his life, loves, family, friends, music, art and survival against the odds. It's a roller-coaster ride of unbelievable highs and unimaginable lows, from a small boy growing up on a working class council estate not far from Heathrow Airport to becoming one of the most famous musicians in the world, Ronnie Wood toured the world with his Rolling Stone bandmates - Mick, Keith, Charlie and Bill.

And the five of them have, arguably, been seen in person by more people on this planet than anyone else in the history of mankind. This is Ronnie the husband, father, grandfather and rock star the way you have never seen any rock star before. "Ronnie" is an up-front and personal look at life as a Rolling Stone, from the inside, and at the Stones as the rest of the world has never seen them. After "Ronnie", drugs, sex and rock 'n roll will never be the same again.

Don't miss your chance to meet the legend that is Ronnie Wood and get your copy signed!

on Ronnie's site it says they're holding a premiere of the First Barbarians at Kilburn release tonight,
so he's probably in town for that and doing the signing by the way.

As of 15 minutes ago, only 2 people in the queue! There are still a couple of hours to go - will head down again later to see what's going on and maybe have my book signed....for the second time!

that will change, as soon as all the professional autograph hunters, have been to the Slash signing at Waterstones Picadilly, this lunchtime.

Could anyone get me a signed copy? I have one of his old books, from 87, which he signed for me then. I would love to have a signed copy of this one, but can't get all the way from Norway now...

Please, anyone?

Hi manofwealthandtaste,

How did it go yesterday? Did you get the book? I guess that would be the wonder of all wonders, but I still live in the hope.... :-)

Hi Niklas,

Well, I headed down to Virgin and the queue wasn't too bad. Ronnie and his entourage came down the stairs and he began signing. The assistants in the shop were saying he would sign CDs and DVDs as well as his book. People were also taking photos and it was all very relaxed.
It then became apparent they were running out of time as Ronnie was on a tight schedule and they limited the number of items you could have signed. So, I regret to say I was unable to get a copy of the book for you. This was actually the third London signing he had undertaken, with very little advance publicity surrounding it. Who knows, if there is a fourth I may have more luck.

Hi manofwealthandtaste,

Thanx for trying. I appreciate that. I hope he will do it again. :-)

It sounds like his signings are going to be arranged with little notice. Please post here if and when anyone hears of another.

Good job on this last one...short lines, always a good thing.
