Hey; just discovered this eminent not-so-black artist from deep deep down. Thanks to user bobhardy1 at Youtube.

Sam Chatmon (January 10, 1897 - February 2, 1983), was a Delta blues guitarist and singer. He was a member of the Mississippi Sheiks and half-brother to Charlie Patton.

There's some good colour Sam Chatman performances one of those Vestapol blues DVD's which Stefan Grossman produced. In fact there's a lot of great stuff on those releases - Hooker,Hopkins,Son House etc. plus one of my all time favourites Mance Lipscombe in concert.
