looking at the loge and using the preppy woman in the foreground as a guide, look at where her hair ends - i think christy is wearing all black. she's with her husband, edward burns (? i don't really know him) and billy baldwin. alec is in the 2nd row behind them.

If only I'd have figgered out hoe to work the whole tishirt angle a year ago.

I work down the street from the Beacon and spent a week's worth of luch hours walking up to the box office at luch time to try to get tix without any luck.

Yes, it was a Canon Power Shot that I bought that very day at the great and huge B & H Photo & Video near Times Square. So these were the first fotos I took with it.

You may recall the shots of the Who in San Diego that my wife and I took on March 1st. I posted those (http://www.iorr.org/talk/read.php?1,671975,673876#msg-673876 and they are even better but of course, we had 3rd row right in front of Townshend.

I see in the last two months that it was (tied for) the top rated camera in its camera in Consumer Reports.

I have it at work, will post the specific model tomorrow, probably just as an addition to this post.

Wonderful stuff Plexiglass!! These pictures have really whet my appetite for the film.

Can't wait!!

You can see Patti and Theo in that Loge photo also.

Patti was the first row of the loge, long blond hair with a black shirt standing next to one of the guards.

Theo was on the floor, very center of the photo near the bottom, about two rows back from the barrier wearing a gray hat.

Thanks for your kind remarks, everybody. You should have seen the bad ones i took, which outnumber the good ones.

I may post a few more if I think them good enough to do so.

And you know what, someone else evidently thought enough of one of my fotos to make it the back cover of (one of?) the CD cover of the boot from the show.

It is the seventh shot in this thread - kind of a wide shot taking in everything where you can see Mick almost getting up to the mic and on the right you see one of the fancy theater doors.

When I saw this I thought, gee, that looks familiar and then I looked closely side by side, comparing several details of what was going on both on and off stage and indeed, presto!

I thought at the time, they haven't really been circulated but aha, but a few have been on Rocks Off, so that has to be it.

Thought I should sue for royalties (either the boot-maker or Gazza!!), but, juskiddin, LOL! I was actually quite flattered that someone would use a pic of mine for the back cover of a boot of a historic Stones show.

Oh, which reminds me, this was also a very special show because Charlie used only one wall of THE PLEXIGLASS!!!

This had to be a sign from heaven that great things were to come in those shows and indeed, the sign proved true and THE PLEXIGLASS proved his Divinity once again!!

what's the fender amp on the floor in front of keith's rig? It's tilted up... is it being used as a monitor? or for mick's harp?

Maybe it's Buddy Guy's amp.
looks like a Fender Vibro King.

Great photos!

Quite amusing to see all the film people behind the band and the models of the front rows. As real as it gets...

Looks like Charlie had 'Plexi" on both sides......

Re: My Fotos from Beacon II

I think that set list on the left is written right onto the amp.

I have looked closely at the fotos that include the set list on the right, and in the first one, if you look closely, you can see what seems to be the edge of THE PLEXIGLASS but this is not or is less so evident in the other fotos.

I suppose the film will clear this up.

Thanks Cindy. I wasn't sure if it was that or Lovin Cup. But I remember the reports of them singing at the mic together.

"It's just some friends of mine and they're busting down the door"

The camera -- OK yes nearly forgot.

Canon PowerShot A710 IS

7.1 mega pixels

6x optical zoom

with Image Stabilizer

there is probably an upgrade being one year later. But maybe not, just check it out.

I think it was like 329 when I got it, not sure. But it has sure seen a lot of Who and especially Stones shows in the last year. And a lot of Europe and other stuff.

Good work Plexi.

Thank God you were pulled away from Scientology into Stones worship.

Worrying though re that angel with the camera card. Your wife must have to put up with a lot.

I am not sure about this. Unless he moved at some point during the show, Alec Baldwin was down near the mixer at the back of the main floor. We could see him from where we were standing near the back of the main level; he was talking to Stevie Van Zandt and his wife. The ZZ Top guys and Albert Maylses were in that area too.

he must've moved b/c he was second row loge center at the beginning of the show, just on the other side of the aisle from me. he brother (billy?) was in front of him with christy and edward...
