I wish I had a Keith and a Ronnie pick. :-(

In Paris, Keith threw a pick in my direction, and landed directly on my t-shirt...but fell down and someone other got that pick. I was angry!

At least it didn't hurt.
not like Charlie's drumstick on my head in Frankfurt - lol.
a guy behind me finally got it.

I admit I don't appreciate collecting used drum sticks...

Here are two picks I caught at the Beacon shows last year. The first one is from Brown Sugar 11-1-06. Keith jammed so hard a chunck of it has been shaved off! The second pick I caught front row after the Satisfaction encore the first night.

They must have these picks in heaps...thousands of them each tour.
Let's say, Keith, Ronnie and Mick together use about 40 per concert, it must be 5.000 - 10.000 picks on ABB 2005-2007. Just for the shows.

Don't know about picks, but during the licks tour (according to the inner sleeve of the bootleg dvd "Dripping Away in Bangalore) they had with them
28,896 guitarstrings
848 drumsticks
212 snooker chalks
2544 towles
15,680 cigarettes
392 sheperd's pies

Mick dropped his pick just as the b-stage was passing me at one show last year -
the dismay on his face was sweet - he really looked like 'arrrgh!' for a second

Yeah it almost seems like Mick makes it a point not to throw out his pick but rather drops or hurls it at the floor when he's done with it. Very weird.

well, throwing picks any distance is really difficult -
maybe he just hasn't mastered the art of it yet.
smile: i wonder if he practices - i bet he does :E

I collect autograph on these giant picks they are around 3x4 inches. Here are ones I had signed by Ronnie, Bill and Mick Taylor.

That may be, but his tech/guitar handler gave my daughter at the last O2 show (when the B stage was rolling back) a pick with the tongue and 2007 on one side and MICK JAGGER on the other.

The same daughter was given two Keith picks at Vancouver (a year ago on the 25th) by Keith's personal assistant which has the tongue with 2006 on one side (like the one above) and KEITH RICHARDS on the other (like the other one above). This happened at the B stage itself.

Later on at the end of the tour party at the hotel, we finally decided to quit waiting and go back to our rooms and were caught by an hotel employee just before the elevator who said "Here honey, Mick Jagger just gave this to me" and handed her a pick identical to the Keith except it said RONNIE WOOD on the flip side.

How a 12-13 year old girl can have such luck is beyond me. Not once, but thrice. Oh, and she was also given a set list at the O2. She did give me one of the two Keith picks after a little convincing.

So now you know why she wrote her school essay "What I Would Save if My House was on Fire - My Rolling Stones Guitar Picks" which won an award in Montana.

I'll go with her to the next shows :-)
