yes, except for all their concert and stage material and Everything they present to the public for decades on end. the stones ALWAYS look back. that's how they get their bread buttered. and why not? it's good stuff...i remember first hearing most of the same set in play now 35 years ago and being quite impressed.
when there's the rare exception of something either new or novel; it gets threads for days...they do little else but look back when it comes to almost 100% of what they offer on stage these last several decades...and the ubiquitious umpteen live albums.
matters not to me what the setlist is...but a
'very simple, the stones never look back"
as gunfighter legendary dramatatic as it sounds, is simply untrue.
they're in the business of selling yesterday's papers, albeit with some presence and power from time to time. nostaligia is a big part of what an oldies band is selling. the entire career is looking back.
and i don't care about in what direction they 'look' anyway...
not my affair or business...
wyman can never be ignored as a Stones member...because he's all over the catalogue, and most essential concert footage, in perpetuity.
wyman ruled the world and quit the band when he wanted to, at the right time for him, and seems quite happy with his life as is, bless him.
there were two or three greatest hits compilations in just the first few years, such was the impact of the band. you can't erase bill without erasing their entire recorded catalog and legendary live history, with the exception of the 90's records and abb, which they don't promote or play.
