I could get there earlier...what time are you planning to arrive? Also, I have an extra ticket if someone needs one.
However, I'm not going to get in queue at 8am !!!

it was a great show tonight - the place was just as packed as it was when we saw buddy play 2 years ago, the night before the stones, when we all hoped for a guest appearance.

buddy was a riot, with lots of insightful comments, teaching us a thing or two about the blues. although it was not easy to see the stage from our spot, he came into the audience a lot for some close-up views, did shots at the bar on at least two occasions, went to the men's room, and went outside on the street, all while playing the guitar.

although he ended the show without an encore, he signed autographs for a while. we were next in line when he quit signing - and went back to the bar for more shots.

rocks off took some great photos - i'm hoping he'll post them here.

Yes, it was a great night seeing Buddy Guy again, altho as LQ mentioned Sunday...it was nice to see Buddy Guy without the disappointment of the Stones not showing up !!

Buddy mentioned the "British guys" who popularized the Blues in America, saying, "They called it the 'British Invasion', but the British guys said it wasn't no invasion...y'all had this stuff over here already !!"

So, here's my first attempt at posting pictures...enjoy, if it works !!

Great pics, rocks off!

I was there the first night and it was pretty LOUD. I was 3 tables from the front and I've never experienced anything that loud. I got tons of pics from that night but of course only a handful were great:

He kept playing guitar during a trip to the men's room??

Wow, I bet even Keith couldn't do that!

Was he playing "With a Little Help From My Friends"?;-)

Yup...he loves to go into the bathroom and play but both times that I saw him....he'd exit the club through one door and play all the way around until he entered again through the front door!

maybe i'll start a new thread about this down the line, but we're thinking of having an IORR field trip to 2120 S. Michigan Ave.

anyone interested?

I think a trip to 2120 would be an interesting tour. Let's work on some dates and times.
