Your favorite one song live recording?

One of mine is Tumbling Dice from '95. Found on the wild horses single and on collectibles. Love the rehearsal-warming up intro, and the exploding into a full band groove! The sound is excellent and the band on fire! Ronnie does a blistering solo, Keith - well what to say? GOD! Charlie in one of his finest moments, and Mick sings it with power! The horns, bakground vocals... A nearly perfect recording IMO. (Guess most of you disagree, but...)

"Midnight Rambler" from Ya-Yas.

Even with all the un-official recordings I've heard this official release is still the best.

This thread could grow like wildfire.

Honky Tonk Woman (GYYYO) "Charlie's good tonite it'n he?" The heavy intro guitar riffs are awesome.

SFTD from Ya-Yas!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE Charlie's drumming on this one, especially his intro...I love everything about this song.

Probably my favorite version of any song that they do. Funny thing - it may not even in my top 10 studio cuts.

my fave live recording is one I have that I cant exacly identify because I did not download the complete handsome girls. Its either from handsome girls or goregous girls. Its the version of Beast of Burden where beforehand mick says "were gunna keep doing songs from the some girls album, thats cool right?..." whatever one that is. its perfection!

I rememer reading in the Charlie Watts thread about how they play songs with gaps or pauses instead of just playing all the way thru. I hear that a lot on this version. whats also cool is the way Mac comes in at the perfect time withe the rest of the band after these pauses. it gives it a really funky and up-beat sound.

No, but I was there.
The band had about a week's rest and hung around New Orleans
going to clubs and doing a television interview.
That time off led up to an excellent show that night,
and it was the last show in N.O. so far.

Always had a soft spot for Let it Rock (BS B side)

yeh let it rock, me too.
lately i've been listening to a '78 version of that from ft. worth that is so loose and lusty i just love it.
also about the same period on another boot there's a version of 'down the road apiece' that knocks me out every time...'you all remember that rubber legged boy'
apart from that i think ya-ya's or t.a.m.i. ...
DEFINETLY adtl from brussels has to be in there...most of brussels actually...

god, this is a hard one...
if i had to go with one i'd go with let it rock ft. worth '78, these days anyway...(i'll play 'em over and over for awhile and then slowly migrate back to some other shows...
god i love that band. i'm a sicko. i just realized that almost every day of my life i listen to at least several live stones songs from boots or releases...
sometimes i'll go thru a whole show, but usually i'm on the hunt for the boogie woogie...
around and around from tami comes to mind. stop me stop me.

Same here, Beelyboy, there's hardly any days - the last 15 years or so, that have passed for me, without listening to some RS concert recording

Just listened to JJJ from Ya Ya's. Very strong to! No doubt that Ya Ya's is the best (official) live album in any case!
