just interested... anyone likes them? saw them live a couple of times and have been listenig to their album over and over, I think they're truly brilliant!

sort of a reply to the today's music ain't got the same soul thread...

They're a super group - Damon Albarn, Paul Simenon, Tony Allan and Simon Tong.

I liked the album and saw them at York Hall in February. Well worth getting. Like a mature, mournful answer to Parklife.

Really like the album-- never had heard of them until I read a good article on them in Mojo --Paul Simonen's Bass really holds that whole thing together--makes you wonder if the Clash would have morphed into something like this if they had stayed together

for me, especially damon albarn might be one of the best musicians/performers in the last years. he's got something special about him, don't really know what it is but it makes you really enjoy watching him, although he doesn't deliver a sort of mick on stage...

Liked early Blur, thought Albarn was a twat. Turns out he's the David Bowie of his generation !

Really like the album. Albarn can always be relied upon to come up with something fresh and different.

Hopefully there will be a Blur album in the near future with Graham Coxon back on board.

do you think so? There's been speculations about them recording an album for years, but I don't think, albarn and coxon would want to towrk together.

It'll happen. Graham needs the money because his solo career hasn't really caught fire. He needs Blur a lot more than they need him. I thought Think Tank and the subsequent tour were brilliant.

Damon's a hugely talented guy - probably the most talented of all his peers. He's hard to like though, but who liked the smartass at school?

How can you not like him? I know, journalists say, he's a smartass, but I can only see reasons to like him. as you mentioned, he's hugely talented, he's a great artist/singer, he's good looking (no, I'm not gay), and he's very very intelligent. can't see a reason why I should not admire him
