Not that I am ashamed of it, (I am ashamed of some things, but those have nothing to do with music), but I feel rather solitair in my liking of the "Latin" songs in the Stones collection, like:
With different lyrics, "Let's Work" might have gotten the whole world off its butt to follow hip-grindin' Mick down that street. I guess its problem is the work ethic it espouses. But if it had been "Let's Drink!" or "Let's Shag!" Mick's tune could have been the anthem for humanity.
I also am fond of "She's the Boss" --one of Mick's funniest vocals-- and I'm proud to say it.
Allow for the passage of time and even the most loathed songs have a way of insinuating themselves into our lives. On Friday, at Disneyland's California Adventure Park of all places, I watched in amazement as a DJ played the Village People's "Y.M.C.A." and children of all ages shook their booties to a tune celebrating buff, frisky young men walking around with only towels on.
Love Dirty Work but don't care much about solo stuff.
Never tought Indian Girl as a "Latin" song it sounds more "Country" You can argue about the events taking place during the revolution in Nicaragua but that doesn't make it latin.
Swettherats is more like Tex-Mex thing. I found "All About You" very mariachi like.
Indian Girl definitely has a Central American vibe to my ears - the music, i mean, not just the subject matter. saying i like the track is maybe going a bit too far, but i tolerate it all right! and i love Sweethearts Together - besides being another of example of the Stones' fine tradition of beautifully atmospheric pastiches, the Glimmer Twins singing such a corny love song to each other after all these years is so enchantingly hilarious ... sweet sweet ~*chihuahua*~ :E

Stealing My Heart doesn't seem to have too many fans either, and i love it. i like Keys to Your Love too, and got no bitch against Suck on the Jugular. as for Back to Zero ... the world *needs* a dance tune with the line "i prefer to rot ~ i don't want to pop"! :E
I actually think all the new songs in Forty Licks are great. Don't Stop is a classic, Stealing my heart is an inspired modern rock song, Keys to Your Love reminds me to Black and Blue era, very stylish song, and Losing My touch is Keith singing his heart out, sweet.

well ehhhhh, looks like that they can serve you any unispired lousy track and you love it.
...Don't Stop is something Mick left off of Goddess....... and apparently Keith is quoted somewhere as having said he could live without it.....at least that's consistent.........I thought Keys To Your Love was pretty
