Hi All, I would like to know, how many concerts have you seen until now in your life approximate? I mean not only Rolling Stones concerts. Rolling Stones and every other artists you've seen yet? I've seen The Rolling Stones 11x and with other artists, I've seen about 520 till 540 concerts. I go since 1985 to live concerts and see in a year about 15 till 30 concerts.

Is here someone, who has seen more concerts than me?

Impossible to count.. Hundreds only at Roskilde festivals; yet a few hundreds more at othwer festivals.
In December 1982 we had at least 150 bands in my town. Guess I heard them
all, many of tem 5-6-7 times. About a thousand, maybe.

When I've seen a 2 day rock festival, than I count it as 2 concerts. When I count all performances from all artists (all support-acts inclusive) than I've seen also over 1000 performances.

Lost count a long time ago.

Hundreds I'm sure, especially if you count club shows by touring bands.
And then there's local bands I've seen several times each, and we have a lot of those where I live.

One thing is for sure, the older I get, the fewer shows I really want to go see.

Seriously: What is the point counting a two day-festival with hundreds of bands and you (me) see about 20-25.. And then count them as two?

I aint competing in any p*ss contest.

Baboon Bro, when you see The Rolling Stones with a support-act. Is this than for you 2 concerts or only 1?

Since I always get free entrance there are not many tix ;O)

Between 200 & 250 --- That would be in the category of Rock, pop, blues, all artists who have released records (in other words this doesn't count seeing local bands at a club.)

How long time must pass between two concerts,
before you are allowed to count them as two? 24h?

I'm a roadie, soundguy, technician, so thousands. But... maybe 2911.

since 1980 i've been taking pics at concerts. i love live music and will pretty much see anything.
after goin thru my books of negatives for my pics, i counted 950. thats just what i took pics of. so i'd say 1000 something

Many hundreds just from big name acts alone. 3 already this month with the 3 biggest still left this month...It's only rock & roll.

I've seen approximately 10 - 15 concerts a year since I turned 15. I'm now 44.
Thats almost 400 concerts total, (not to mention unkown bands in nightclubs, etc.),
and out of all those I've seen the Stones 44 times.
The other artists I've seen the most include Dylan (10 times),
Neil Young (5 times) Johnny Winter (5 times), Stevie Ray Vaughan (4 times).
US Festival '83 was a 3 day festival with dozens of bands,
but I still only count the event as one concert.

I've seen dozens of other bands/concerts/festivals,
but it's impossible to remember them all right now.
With that all said, off the top of my head and from memory,
here are my top 25 shows as of this moment....
in no particular order (except for Stones '81 - always #1)!

When I go to a 2-day-festival, than I count it as 2 concerts, 3-day-festival as 3 concerts and so on and on.

I've seen recently the heavy rockband Iced Earth + 2 support-acts. I count it as 1 concert not as 3 shows.

Support act is one thing; but a helluva line-up like Roskilde
1982, 1984, 86, 86, 87, 88 or 89 is another story.

Like I said before, I count 1 festival day as 1 concert. But for me no problem, when you count a festival day in Roskilde as 100 concerts!

I went to the first (1982) US Festival, 3 days, I would count it as three since there were 3 admissions (even though I had a 3 day ticket). That is the only "overnight" festival I have attended.

100's - hope to see many more.

Wish there were more new acts that I wanted to see. Pretty soon all of my favorites will be dead (if not me first!).

around 50...most of those were Stones and Dylan concerts

I've been attending concerts since 1970. A ton of shows in the 70's, it slowed down in the 80's picked up again in the 90's and now I'm very picky about seating so unless I can get the best, I won't go.

I ALWAYS get the BEST seats for THE STONES.

I last counted about 10 years ago and was at around 250. Of course, that was right around the time I moved to NYC - since then, I've probably seen another couple of hundred, if you include bands in clubs, friends' bands, and bands my former bands shared bills with.

100+ if we are talking recording artists/bands

Add to that at least twice as many concerts with tribute/amateur/cover bands

i cant count em....Stones shows yes.....i know that number
