lol If I remember right, that man Didymus is "Amyl Nitrate" on Sweet Black Angel.

In his autobio Dr. John said D. went crazy because the Stones used that name for him.

New 2CD release of Lee Perry Jamaican 7" singles from his
classic Black Ark period Includes Sipple Out There/Max Romeo which was
later remixed..tamed down & retitled War In A Babylon for UK release....

Shame the set doesn't inc Perry's brilliant mad-arse.. hard to find dub-BSides of singles...

thank you Honestman - what magazine/month/year have you scanned those beautiful pages from, please and thank you?

and thank you Rock Man - too bad they left off the loony-gleaming b sides but that Lee Perry set pretty fine anyway

Sssoul

As I wrote some days ago, when my PC crashed, I've only saved my database with # under pictures, my big mistake, so it will take me a very long time to credit all what I've got on my HDD, some part of it is credited, for the rest I didn't get the time to do it.
Nico with Mick and Brian came from Michael Ochs archives.
The oldest picture of Nico was an advertise for a French famous store called
Galeries LAFAYETTE year 1960-1961 and I don't recall in which mag, probably ELLE, but not sure.
For the rest , it has been grabbed on the net over the years...

A Rocket In My Pocket - The Hipster's Guide To Rockabilly Music - Max Decharne
Serpent's Tail

A full throttle ride through the the story of Rockabilly startin' with a race through the origins then
slowin' for Sun ... Elvis... Charlie Feathers and pointin' out a lotta the greatest Rockabilly records ever recorded...

If ya just wandered in the front door of Rockabilly it's a good place ta start readin'...

The companion CD is chock full with 28 rockin' rattlers .... carries a few of the usual culprits like The Rockin' Machine's ESSENTIAL cover of Jnr Parkers Mystery Train .... Perkins and his rockabilly call ta arms.... Jnr Thompson's primitive Mama's Little Baby outta Memphis...Fisher's Pink&Black outta Texas with Joey Long's guitar bitin' like a rattlesnake...And Rockin' Billy Fords swingin' Mad Dog In Town AND Hal Harris' Jitterbop Baby with throat slashin' guitar both on Pappy Daily' legendary Starday label....Classic Stuff!!!!

Usually only found on rare boots it's cool ta get the hard to find -- Dale Vaughn - How Can You Be Mean To Me ....
AND Bob Doss and his horny cat power packed Don't Be Gone Long gettin' a release and in great sound ....

You can go to the corner for a loaf of bread
but just you remember what I said... dont be gone long...

.............................Don't Be Gone Long/ Bob Doss Starday 265 1956

Yeah as usual the ACE liner are brief but informative ....

I mean like what can ya say about some of those one-off bolt

Good luck Honest Lad ...
Doss Starday track Dont Be Gone Long has been on a few boot LP's and these two boot CD's ...

The Starday Story Vol3 - Texas Gold
Ultra Rare Rockabilly Vol4 - Chief label

Pretty sure the b-side Somebody's Knockin' aint been issued on anything

So Rocket In My Pocket is worth the bucks just for this horny cat rocker alone .......
