Wow,what an impressing (tech-) read !Thank you ,man !!!

(Almost) no overdubs on SAL...,incredible if you compare it to
the Austin Biggest Bang (overdubbing) desaster.

Good to know and furthermore :

Why isnĀ“t the stereo fold-down mix available
on my netherland SAL DVD release ?

But Charlies drumsound ,...,ok,that has been discussed...

Thanks for posting. Incredible really, the amount of work being done in order to get a decent mix of a simple rock concert. It seems like the more the technology develops the harder it gets to create something good with it. Give us back the years when things were analog and there was no 5.1 rubbish...

The photo of Bill and his son. 1968? (page 31)
By my reckoning Stephen would have been aged 8 years.
He looks more like a mid teenager to me.

In fact, I prefer any day the old GOT LIVE IF YOU WANT IT! UK EP (not the same named album) to SHINE A LIGHT soundtrack... (well, actually the album as well...) This makes me think how shitly they actually play these days if they wouldn't have all that technology to make its sound better...

Indeed...but, blah-blah-blah (the article, not you Svartmer)...WHY was Keith's guitar BURIED? Was it THAT bad (I know it was in Austin a few days before)?

Always and again great stuff! Thanx a lot!
The Clearmountain article is very interesting too.

But, - like often lately when it's about the Stones work, I came to think:
Wouldn't it have been much better if all that great skills, energy, mastery and money that went into the adaption and treatment of their material had primarily flown in the original playing/ music ?!
(Like in better times . .)
