MicK Jones has his 'Rock n' Roll Public Library' up on display right now in London.

Imagine- a dude who actually cares about something, digs the culture which informed him, and still has the sense of wonder and playfulness which is at the heart of all great pop music. Plus, Carbon/Silicon have the guts to not cave in to nostalgic demands by playing Clash or BAD tunes when they are so prolific with their current project. (unlike some people).

Sorry I bumped in the thread only now, but Green Lady, you sure did a great translation!

As for the (??):

There are so many mind-blowing stories – (??)

I would translate "Fuori di testa" "Out of (Our) Head"

KR: (??? What does dentro di brutto mean?)

"Dentro di brutto" means totally involved, 100% into it

My mother was 100% into music. I mean, after all she was my grandpa’s daughter. Music all the time. Even in England in the 1950s, when you really had to fiddle around with those radio knobs to find something decent, my mum always had music playing. This is exactly what we did. If we got bored, we’d improvise and start singing ourselves. Doing harmonies and all that sort of thing. It was always like this in our house.

KR: She was crazy – beautifully crazy. I didn’t notice it at the time. You know, she was just my mum. I never realised how crazy she was. She had an incredible sense of humour and love of music. I mean, with such a combination, you can't end up on the bad way. I could have grown up much worse (than I did). There wasn’t much to eat on the table, so to say - and we lived in a modest house. But our house was full of joy, laughter, music. Those are the things my mum gave me. I just sang something for her down at home – bless her.

L’UV:Are there any lessons about life you’d like to pass on?
KR: Let's put it this way, I am considering to do it. Before I have to learn the lesson though ... but when this will happen, for sure I will pass it on !

Much appreciated, liddas - I've corrected my original post. I tried dentro di brutto in several online dictionaries and nothing made sense at all!

It must be hell trying to translate Keith into Italian in the first place - so you have to guess (from the way he talks in other interviews) what he might originally have said - full of know-what-I-mean-baby and English slang - and bring it back from Italian into Keithish again. Great fun doing it though.

In fact the Italian translation of blues and greens line does not make any sense!

I would think this has been posted already, but there are so many threads that I can't keep track.
It is about Marianne ...in May's "Classis Rock" - a British publication with Jagger/Plant/Tyler on the cover?
