Anyone has seen Buddy Guy on the DVD playing with them¿ Just heard someone told me he is in, if not anyone can tell me if there are any show available with Buddy Guy and the Stones?
but carlitosbaez is asking about the Biggest Bang dvd, not Shine a Light. Buddy Guy did open for the Stones at a few shows, and joined them for Night Time in Milwaukee (september 8th 05) - wasn't there an rs.com clip of that?

that was fantastic-he really threw down. highlight of the tour...
Buddy lost a string during Night Time, didn't he? and Woody "covered" that note for him, and was hugely proud - why do i remember that so clearly?? there must have been an rs.com clip of it
He was absolutely fantastic at the Beacon, both his own (opening) act and also with the Stones. God, when he was with them on Reefer, it was the old Stones at their raunchy blues best. would love to see him again.
which clip? the one i think i recall from Milwaukee 05 would be on www.rollingstones.com, if it exists; Shine a Light will include Champagne & Reefer from the Beacon II show.
For those of you who like the Buddy Guy of the last 15 years or so, check out his stuff like the Stone Crazy disc or his live one with Junior Wells, Drinkin' Tn'T and Smokin' Dynamite. Great stuff including especially wild guitar on I Smell A Rat with a band that never played over-the-top (as his more currents bands do IMHO). Great tone too, completely unaffacted by trying to sound "current."
