Just got a phone call from a friend of mine. Rumor has it Scorcese is having a private screening of 'Shine a Light' tonight at NYC's Ziegfield theater. Possibly to include a Stones member or two.
Anyone have any more info on this?

A quick check of the Ziegfeld website revealed there is no movie schedule posted for tonight.

Ok, I just wrote my EMI guy too, hopefully I'll hear back from him. Luckily it's a Jewish holiday tonight, so some of the people that probably could have gone, won't, so extra tickets might be available.

I think that is the case as well, making it extra difficult. Man if I was only still in my twenties this would be a lot easier!!!

Speaking of Scorsese, he is going to get Kennedy Center honors on December 2, along with Steve Martin, Brian Wilson, Diana Ross and a guy named Leon I've never heard of before (no, not Leon Russell).

What are the chances of Keith earning Kennedy Center honors at some point?

Also, Gimme Shelter is screening next month at the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles, along with a film yet-to-be-announced. I am hoping that film will be Shine a Light, but that's just a fantasy in my head.

No, no news. I think my friend might be out for the holiday, not sure.

I didn't end up going since I do have a meeting this afternoon.

If I heard from him that I could definitely get in, it would be worth blowing off (what wouldn't though, right).

There is DEFINITELY a screening of Shine A Light tonight at the Zigfield.

I walked by there on my way home and the guy at the box office said it is so.

No one was there when I went by at around 5 pm.

According to IMDb, Jagger is second billing in Shine a Light, just behind Christina Aguillara.

do what i did to get beacon tickets - hold up a sign and smile.

i know boston isn't too far from NYC...i suppose mick (and you CindyC) could come down for the evening.
