I know there has been a number of wish list requests posted for songs for the Stones to play live but since I'm just getting on board I thought I would start fresh with mine based on a 20 song live set. Here goes for the 2008 tour:

Just for starters for me. Trying to mix some war horses with a cross section of tunes spanning their amazing career. B-Stage is a must for one or more blues type tunes in my book. I'm sure this set list will change tomorrow..... So many great great songs to choose from.

Still too many war horses?? What do you think? What would your 20 song set look like? I apologize if this should have been posted to an already existing topic. Learning the ropes.

I agree about Satisfaction especially the way it has been played live lately. There are a number of songs I wish they would "retire" from their live performances at least for a good while - these come to mind:

Satisfaction
IORR
YGMR
Miss You
Symoathy for the Devil

Replacing these 5 alone on a nightly basis could provide much more flexibility and opportunity for diversity even at 20 songs a night.

I agree with the comments about song length. Most are too long .They could fit 23 songs into a 2 hour set if they shortened a few back to original length.

The tourists get to hear the warhorses and it leaves room for a few "gems",ie:

Regarding B Stage: I think the songs should be all prior to Satisfaction when a small set would do just fine. like in their club days. (It's All Over Now, Round and Around, Time is on My Side, Mercy Mercy, etc) ...just my opinion.

This is the new rule for the B-stage. Any song performed on the B-stage must begin with the letter B.

So Bitch, Back of My Hand, Blinded By Rainbows, Brown Sugar, Black Limousine, Before They Make Me Run, Backstreet Girl, Baby Break It Down, Beast of Burden, Brand New Car, Biggest Mistake, Blue Turns to Grey and Bye Bye Johnny are all eligible for the B-stage. Nothing else.

Oh! I almost left out Back to Zero.
