Took out my ABB cd to see what all the fuss was/is about and out came the original receipt - it was bought on 5th. of September of 2005 - which in my part of the world is only 15 minutes shy of 2 years.

Have to say - it's still a great album and much underrated ;-) So much going on, if you only give it a chance......

Anyways - cheers and hope I/we won't have to wait another seven years (however - I must add - these seven years seemed shorter than the five years between Steel Wheels and Voodoo Lounge or the three years between SW and Dirty Work. Guess that's age for you?? *lol*))

This time 2 years ago, i was doing some part time roadie work for a DOORS tribute band, when they played in the U.K, I had to meet them at a theatre in Surrey one saturday afternoon, as they had been playing up near blackpool the previous night, but I could not be there, as was attending my aunts funeral in London. it was about a 2 hour drive, and I bought ABB in a supermarket on the way there, played it on the way down and was discussing with the guitar player when we met up in Surrey, he was very passionate about his music, and was asking me all sorts of questions about the album and so on. It shows you how much can change in 2 years, as the poor soul sadly dies of cancer 2 months ago, and the band is no more now........

Two years ago today, I was holed up in Atlanta, GA, watching the news about New Orleans and wondering if I had a home to go back to.

Turns out my place survived the storm and the flood.

You are right when you are right *lol* (but still it did not really feel that long)

Maybe the reason it didnt feel as long as those other gaps you mentioned is because at least in the interim period the Stones remained active and toured regularly.

i was in minneapolis-on tour wondering the same things Edith. Luckily my house survived as well. when we checked into the hotel in st paul all of the stones crew were hanging around and a woman was overheard saying..."look at all these poor people evacuated from new orleans." funny shit man....
