"All Down The Line?".....give me a break Nikki, let me smoke the damn bong because you obviously can't handle it........there are in fact two "quintessential" Stones songs and they are "Satisfaction" and "Jumping Jack Flash"....in that order.

Can't Argue with that - can argue with the fact that some on here think these are the same song (or JJF is Satisfaction backwards)!?!?!

"No Anchovies, Please"

why do you say that? because they're the biggest hits? you may want to provide some sembelance of justification or reasoning for your choices - especially if you're going be such a flagrant p*ick while answering!

....nikki....you of all people calling me a prick is laughable. I would think that the quintessential Stones song would not only possess qualities of the essence of the Stones sound, but also be a song easily recognized by people as being a Stones song. I like All Down The Line but it is not a very popular song.......and besides, the Stones are a guitar band, why do you think horns have to be a part of the Stones' essence? I like Stones songs that have horns in them, but I don't identify Stones with horns.....

Mean guitars and horns which play riffs like meanguitars... that's is quintessential Stones...

ALL DOWN THE LINE

No Question -- I'd play them "Back To Zero"!

Right there you have Jagger at his poncey following-the-trend best, but most of all, it has copious ammounts of THE MAN. The one, the only, Chuck Jesus Leavell!

You just don't get no more rock'n'roll than Chuck J. Leavell!

Hmm,when's it April 1st? Goodangit, the f**cking booze last night^

P.S. I stand by the proclamation of Chuck Jesus, he's the saviour or modern day rock'n'roll. I can see him mashing potatoes with Beelzebub himself!

Snorting familial ashes? That ain't rock'n'roll..*sniff*...Show the aliens instead a clip of Chuck snorting in derision, that's a snort worthy of rock royalty.

"popularity" has nothing to do with it . . . that is, if i choose to buy that ADTL, isn't a "popular song," which i don't.

re-read the question.
