I saw them a couple times back in the 80's. I remember they opened for AC/DC in 1988 and I can't remember the other show they opened. One good thing they did in concert was the guitarist and bass player would sling their guitars around their back. Always liked their ballad Don't Know What You Got Til It's Gone. Just one of many of the hair metal bands of the 80's who's popularity faded quickly in the early 90's when the Seattle grunge scene hit.

Their popularity was already fading. The David Lee Roth/Cinderella tour of 1991 was listed as one of the biggest failures for promotors that year and sputtered to a halt long before it was supposed to be over, and this was after Cinderella abandoned it's own headlining tour. This was all a few months before Nevermind came out. I think all this had less to do with Seattle grunge than the massive popularity of Guns N Roses and Metallica.
I saw them in 1988 with AC/DC which was pretty good then again in 2002 with Poison which was basically the same show only not as good.
actually the Roth/Cinderella tour was 1986 (the first Roth solo date was Hampton,va.) I was there and thought Cinderella were an Aeromsith rip, but i liked them. Saw them several times since. The singer Tom Keifer had voice problems in 1991 and broke up a few years later until the kids of the 80's grew up then they reformed on the nogstalia kick.
There was a 2nd tour in 1991 but it was more co-headlining with both doing 70-80 min sets with Extreme opening though I think it was supposed to be Thunder here at Irvine Meadows but it got cancelled. I think Cinderella preceded it with a headline arena tour that didn't do too well and also didn't make it to LA. The 1991 tour averaged like 2,000 - 5,000 a night in full size places before being cancelled. It was like it in the top 3 in a top 10 list of worst failures. Apparently 1991 was a bad year for concerts.
Got a dvd with Cinderella from Bethlehem, PA around 90-91 and they do a rather good version of Brown Sugar. Really like their Heartbreak Station album.
......I have a friend who is 48 years old who still likes this crap......I'll send you his address sdstonesguy.....I don't blame mandu for liking cinderella, he lives in China and probably can't help it.....

I used to beat up kids who tried to beat me up for listening to this crap.....Looking back they deserve it still.
Ok...you tell me. Why did you like guys in eye liner with teased hair doing horrible teeny bopper fake rock? Was it just to get the girls? I know there was a time when being a wuss made some gals like you (Rick Ashley anyone?).
None of these bands (hair) were rock n' roll...they prostituted it...and anyone who supported them helped sell out rock n' roll. Me? I'll take the Stones...one of the only ones I can count on.
Oh...I'm 31...I was at the perfect age to sell out & listen to these fluff bands...I just didn't know how.
for some time between 84-89 that type of music (or whatever you want to call it) was very popular. It was just the stlye then. I liked the polished catchy sound of hair bands. The concerts were loud and lots of flash/lights lasers etc. There were nice looking girls dressed in almost nothing sometimes. They weren't all that bad. I made great times at those shows. I also take pics at concerts which is another passion. Since 1984 i've must have seen 1000 at least shows
I'm 39 and i was/and still into all kinds of music. I would go to any concerts just because i love live music. I'd go to Duran Duran, RATT, Whitney Houston, Neil Diamond RUN DMC and The Stones (sometimes all in few weeks). There seemed to be alot more concerts then. It's not like the Stones never sold out either, they put on thier share of eyeliner and frilly clothes.
I understand some people just like one type of music and thats cool and all but i'll go to just about anything. I love live music that much.
one of of my dreams was to be in an 80s metal band like cinderella or poison.I play my infaltable air guitar and wear my long hair wig and rock out to these bands
